Measurement of Energy Consumption During a Thermal Drilling Cycle

The work presents the issue of measuring and analyzing energy consumption during a thermal drilling cycle. A research stand based on CNC lathe was presented, equipment which an experimental system electricity meter force gauge. devices used allowed for recording load power grid, machine tool drives, axial force, drill braking torque, current rotation spindle, position in relation to workpiece values auxiliary parameter registers strategy adaptive feed control. Two cases cycle were considered: making single hole series holes one Five control strategies tested cycle, including recursive optimization method. For comparison, also made with traditional HSS twist drills. Based obtained test results, it can be concluded that friction method included energy-saving methods thin-walled elements.
